Bandelier National Monument [1] is a hiker's paradise on the slopes of the Jemez Mountains in New Mexico, USA. Hikes range from the main ruins trail, a one-mile, paved route that can be followed for most of its length by wheelchair, all the way through multi-day backpacking opportunities. There are also good Nordic ski trails, although not every winter produces enough snow for these to be used.
